Why Join Our Network?
Minorities and women continue to be significantly underrepresented in key science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) related jobs as well as leadership positions. Spark is a platform created in collaboration with universities and corporations to help close this gap in the workforce.
Spark provides role-modeling and peer-mentoring programs that link college undergraduates, graduate students, and post-doctoral candidates with minorities and women in the workforce at some of the largest corporations in CPG, Healthcare, Technology and many other fields. Spark also identifies job and career advancement opportunities in STEM fields across many industries, from entry-level to mid-career to senior positions. The ultimate goal of Spark is not only to create more connectivity and opportunities but more importantly to support STEM education through access and early exposure of kids in underrepresented communities as well as mentorship and scholarships to encourage more minorities in middle schools, high schools and colleges to pursue STEM fields.
A new way to connect with mentors, peers in CPG, Healthcare, Technology and other STEM related industries as well as job and career opportunities from entry level to all levels of the corporate ladder.

A Better Way
Did you know less than a quarter of Black and Hispanic STEM college graduates are likely to go to STEM related industry jobs. For Computer Science and Engineering graduates, only 16 percent of Hispanics and 12 percent of Blacks go into tech jobs. We believe one of the major factors is lack of advancement of minorities and women in the workforce and lack of inclusivity. Mentorship is important but Sponsorship is even more critical for underrepresented minorities and women in mid to large size corporations.
